I write again in our Mini-Club blog.
better since the weather and one more again can make out, is with us the time of model building over. John and I thought about that we take in the fall of our system back in attack.
have been a few months ago I brought my old locomotive (see photo) for repair to Trier. The first business I was told that the repair was not worth more, the locomotive was already so old. Since I did not agree but I still brought the locomotive to another business model. There, they wanted to send Märklin for a quote.
After several weeks I received a call that the estimate met and the repair of the locomotive amounted to 160 €. It was not repaired it too expensive and I said, the locomotive should, however, be sent back.
The time went by, then another call. The company Marklin is a mishap occurs and the locomotive was repaired by mistake. Märklin offer but to reduce the cost of repairs to 80 € and to waive the shipping costs.
Although 80 euros are still quite a lot of money, ch've decided to pay them. Finally, the engine now has a completely new 5-pole motor, which promises much smoother running and better controllability. I'm not sure if the transformer works with the new engine, but we will see.
Meanwhile, I've picked up the locomotive in Trier and must be prepared during the summer a little more for their duties in the winter ...
