Since the mid-nineties, Ukraine has proclaimed the "European choice" and repeatedly proclaimed the intention of UROPEAN Join Union to do. The EU has reacted to this day but these ambitions is very reserved and does not open accession perspective for Ukraine. Instead, the EU Ukraine has an alternative instrument for integration, European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), offered. The ENP was developed by the EU in 2004 by following the enlargement to ten new members into being.
